Botnhamn's neighbourhood.

Botnhamn and the local area consist of many small places, villages and towns. The closest local area includes the tiny villages Gavlen and Balsfjord. Other tiny places like Laukvik, Galnslått and Yttergården are more or less a part of Botnhamn itself. The neighbour villages are in order Husøy, Fjordgård, Lysnes, Vang, Gibostad, Senjahopen and Mefjordvær. Right across the strait of Malangen lies Brensholmen and Sommarøy. The nearest town is Finnsnes, about 50 km to the south, while the nearest city is Tromsø some 100km north of Botnhamn.
